Pogostemon sampsonii. This relatively compact stem plant displays undulating pointed leaves that are bright green with serrated edges. Pogostemon sampsonii grows slowly, and the interesting leaf texture makes it a perfect mid-ground focal point.
It is a moderately difficult plant to grow, requiring medium to intense lighting, regular water column fertilisation and nutritious substrate with CO2 injection highly recommended.
Not a fast grower even under high Co2 and bright lighting; this plant seems to stop growing in height at around 20 cm and begin shooting out lateral shoots from the top half of the stem to form a ‘crown’, completely took me by surprise but this plant essentially can give a bushy appearance with a few stem.
