Botanicals Badam Pod (Elephant Ear Pod)

Badam Pods have a durable, leathery texture and are ideal as natural hiding spots for dwarf cichlids, catfish, and other fish. They are perfect for simulating a flooded forest or tropical stream biotope, where branches, seeds, and pods accumulate to enrich the environment. These pods offer aesthetic and functional benefits for aquariums.

Size:

Each pod averages around 10 cm in diameter with openings of 4.45-6.35 cm. Badam Pods release tannins gradually, adding a natural color to the water over time.

Preparation:

Boil the pods for at least an hour to fully saturate them, as they initially float when immersed.

Origin:

Native to Southeast Asia, with our pods sourced from Sri Lanka.

Our Australian botanicals are organically sourced, free from pests and pollutants.
